Is everything you see everything that can be seen?

The film ‘Mysteries of the Unseen World’ makes visible all the invisible things that surround us. Phenomena that move too slow or fast for the eye to detect. Things hidden in invisible beams of light and objects too small for us humans to spot with the naked eye.

The world we don't see shows us the beauty, drama and sometimes even humour in phenomena that occur in a microsecond. Here, the audience is taken into the microscopic world that was once reserved only for scientists. And in this way, we can begin to understand that what we actually see is only a fraction of what there is to see on our planet. High-speed and time-lapse photography, electron microscopy and nanotechnology are just a few of the scientific advances that now allow us to see a whole new universe of things, events, creatures and processes that we previously didn't know existed, but with man's new ‘superpowers’ we can see further and deeper and better.

Created by National Geographic,  Mysteries of the Unseen World shows how science and technology make the invisible visible and how it affects our lives in ways we can't even imagine.
