3-2-1 LIFTOFF! / Danish speech

This unique children's film has won several international awards and stars Rune Klan as the inventive space engineer Elon, who tries to get his friend Otte back to his spaceship orbiting the Earth.

3-2-1 LIFTOFF! combines humor and science to show that you have to be both brave and resourceful to get to Space and back again. The film is a wonderful story about friendship and science, which expresses how belief in one's own abilities can do more than you think. At the same time, this fine film conveys that science is not about succeeding on the first try, but that you become smarter by trying yourself out through experiments.

Elon is a hamster who lives in a landfill. Here he tries hard to find his place in the small rat community, but no one takes him seriously. The other rats are not interested in his scientific experiments, which also rarely go according to plan.

One day Elon hears a big bang. In his backyard, he finds a crater in which lies a damaged robot. Where did it come from? Elon repairs the robot and discovers that it fell from a spaceship orbiting Earth. The robot wants to go home, but the spaceship is leaving in less than a day!

And so begins Elon's great adventure. Will he manage to get the robot back to its ship before it flies off with all of the robot's friends?

The film is produced by the Czech animation studio Krutart, which builds on the strong Czech tradition of animated films for children.
