The dark nights of winter are amazing. Under the frosty starry sky, we have room for fascination, contemplation and wonderment about what's hiding out there.
What do we actually see when we look upwards? How do we navigate between the many different constellations? Why does the night sky seem to change throughout the year? And what exciting phenomena is it possible to spot from here in Denmark?
Join us as we focus on the Danish night sky. We start with what you can see in the night sky with the naked eye. From constellations to planets and nebulae - and maybe even a galaxy or two.
In the company of Planetarium's astrophysicist, you'll be well-equipped to explore the starry sky above us. Not only will we explore which stars and planets we can find in the sky, but we'll also take a closer look at the best equipment to take into the winter darkness and the best times to observe the sky.
After the lecture, the film Our Beautiful Solar System will be shown, which takes us from Earth and into space, taking us closer to the planets in our solar system and the many exciting space missions that have visited them.
Under the iconic Planetarium Dome, clear skies are always guaranteed. However, if the weather outside allows, we'll also take a look at Copenhagen's starry sky through Planetarium's telescopes.
We look forward to seeing you for an evening under the stars.
