Gagarin and Armstrong / The Space Race
Podcast: Enjoy an hour of dramatic entertainment hosted by Bjørn Harvig and guest Planetarium astrophysicist Cecilie Sand Nørholm
It was a race against time during the space race in the 60s.
At first, the Russians had the lead with Yuri Gargarin, who in 1961 became the first man in space, but the Americans soon caught up when Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the Moon in 1969.
This time Bjørn Harvig has invited Cecilie Sand Nørholm, astrophysicist at Planetarium, into the studio to talk about the events before, during and after the Americans managed to land on the Moon.
